Children & Families

I can provide workshops tailored to children aged 4 years and upwards along with parents and carers. They start with a brief introduction to block printing and a demonstration so you are equipped to print until your heart is content.

All materials will be provided and after practicing on paper and stationary, you will pick from a tote bag, drawstring bag or cushion cover to print on, take home and enjoy!

* Please note, if parents or carers are not taking part in this session with your child, you will still need to remain in the vicinity.

Introduction to Woodblock Printing (Half Day)

This is an introduction to woodblock printing for anyone new to block printing and wanting a refresher. The workshop will begin with an in depth demonstration to enable you to print with confidence and you will then pick from a variety of blocks, choose your colours and then explore different pattern designs on test fabrics. Once you are confident with your printing and designs, you will use the skills you’ve gained to print on tags, cards, and tissue paper and you will then pick either a cushion cover or tote bag and a tea towel or a zip pouch.

Duration: 3 hour workshop

Cost: From £45 per person

Woodblock Printing (Full Day)

This is an in depth workshop that begins with a thorough demonstration to equip you with the skills needed to print a variety of items. You will spend some time picking your blocks, choosing colours and creating designs on test fabrics until you feel happy. Once you are confident, you will then go on to print on tags, cards, tissue paper and gift wrap and the latter part of the workshop will be spent printing the following:

Small Items

-Tea Towel, Napkins, Zip Pouch, Drawstring Bag (pick one)

-Cushion Cover, Scarf, Tote Bag (pick one)

Duration: 6 hour workshop with a lunch break (bring your own lunch)
